Roma Chatterji, formerly professor of sociology, Delhi University, has worked and published extensively on folk culture and narrative traditions. She has also researched collective violence in Dharavi, Mumbai, and the breakdown of narrative voice in dementia sufferers in the Netherlands. She is currently working on picture storytelling with a focus on superhero comics in India. Her most recent book is ‘Graphic Narratives and the Mythological Imagination in India’ (2020).
